Description
Tornano, national monument protected by the Ministry for Fine Arts, is a medieval castle dated 1100 A.D., located on a hillside amid woods and vineyards, in the southernmost tip of the Chianti region. In some historical book,Tornano is mentioned since the XI century. And with Tomano it is celebrated the noble Guamellotto Mezzolombardi as first owner of the castle, who became famous for his strong resistance to the emperor Frederick "R Beard". Suites: the elegant and charming rooms are equally distributed along the castle and the tower . The suites are furnished with antique furniture, the bathrooms have a unique style. The romanticism of these rooms is stressed by the given names which recall famous couples in love or great and brave women of the past.
